Parvati Hill

Parvati Hill is a hillock in Pune, India. Atop the hillock is the Parvati Temple, one of the most scenic locations in Pune. Pashan Lake

Pashan Lake is an artificial lake near the suburb of Pashan, about 12 km from the city center of Pune, India. The lake was built in the British era to accommodate the water requirement of the neighbourhood.The main inlet of the lake is a small rivulet (Ram Nadi), which is even controlled by the barrage located to the north of the lake. The rivulet originates from Bavdhan and flows via Pashan, Sutarwadi, Baner to Someshwarwadi before flowing into the main Mula river.

Pataleshwar

The Pataleshwar Cave Temple (also called Panchaleshvara or Bamburde) is a rock-cut cave temple, carved out in the 8th century in the Rashtrakuta period. It is located in what is now Pune, in the state of Maharashtra, India. The temple, made of basalt rock, is dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The sanctum - a cube-shaped room about 3–4 metres on each side - houses a linga - the symbol of Shiva and there are two smaller cells on each side. In front of the cave is a circular Nandimandapa, its umbrella shaped canopy supported by massive square pillars.

Rajiv Gandhi Zoology Park

The Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park, commonly known as the Rajiv Gandhi Zoo or Katraj Zoo is located in Katraj, Pune. It is divided into three parts, a snake park, an animal orphanage and a zoo. The zoo has numerous varieties of flora and fauna, like cobra, tigers, bears, vipers and Indian crocodiles. The snake park possesses a huge collection of reptiles which includes a 13 feet long cobra. The park has a library too which intends to educate people about various species of animals.
